Meet Our Teachers

My name is Deborah deNourie and teaching music classes is the best job that I've ever had!  I strive to give my parents and kids upbeat classes, that have a nice mix of structured and spontaneous songs.  My goal is to keep my classes moving so kids stay focused, but also to ensure that every child is included and has a great time!!
My friends and family will tell you that I am singing all of the time- maybe not in tune or in the right key, but loudly and with a smile!

My name is Nicole Lawson and my kids and I have truly enjoyed music class over the years. It would be exciting to share this fun music with many more kids! Before being a stay at home Mom, I worked many years in the accounting field. I love to travel, camp, hike and most importantly - I enjoy a variety of music! During school I played the flute for 8 years and participated in concert and jazz bands. I believe music should be a part of every day!

 Betiana Simon- Spanish

Welcome to Baby Maestro en Espanol!  I'm Betiana Simon and I started bringing my daughter to music class when she was 3 months old.  I'm from Argentina and keep a bi-lingual home, so working with Deborah we developed a Spanish Music Class curriculum that your little one will love.  Music is the perfect way to introduce new languages to children and I am so thrilled to bring this fun, educational and energizing class to the Baby Maestro family.  I started out studying accounting but soon realized that teaching was my real passion.  I hold a degree in Secondary Education in Spanish from Dana College in Blair, NE and I've studied studio art. Singing in Spanish and dancing to the Latin American tunes are fun components of my life; I hope they will be yours too!
See you next time in Music Class.

My name is Becky Scherbring and  I come from a long line of musicians and artists.  Everyone from my grandparents, husband, sister to my son are involved – and in love - with music!  I played the cello through college and was a member of several orchestras, including The Intergenerational Orchestra of Omaha and The Heartland Philharmonic Orchestra.  I even performed in New York’s Carnegie Hall!  I also played cello for several local bands, including Six Speed Universe and Lullaby For The Working Class. I have a Masters of Science in Elementary Ed with a specialization in Early Childhood.  I have taught preschool, kindergarten, and currently second grade. I was introduced to Baby Maestro in January of 2009 and we were instantly hooked!  I feel very fortunate to have found such an educational, interactive, FUN music program!  We plan to enroll Charlie in every session until he “graduates” from Baby Maestro.  I hope to have the opportunity to teach classes at Baby Maestro for a very long time!
